Swing by KRFT Café at Kabin Kyoto, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and take in the tranquility of the temple grounds with its traditional architecture and serene atmosphere. Bukkoji Temple, founded by the priest Ryogen in 1324 , was originally located in Yamashina, but moved to downtown Kyoto in 1586. There are several halls to explore and the grounds are perfect for some quiet reflection or stunning photo ops.
While you are there, slide over to D&D, a trendy shop and locally-sourced restaurant where you can enjoy picturesque dining in a traditional temple setting and check out the best in regional and design-forward souvenirs. VOU Gallery/Art Shop – 1 min. walk
Explore the local art scene at VOU, an art gallery and shop featuring modern and contemporary pieces by Kyoto-based artists and beyond.
